The wood that I turned the following bowl from was some oak that a friend cut down near Rollag MN in 2004

This shallow walnut bowl was turned from a piece from the crotch of the tree. This wood where 2 branches comes together really give some interesting grain and
figure.. It was given to my sister as a wedding present.

I gave this bowl to my mother in law, the maple tree that I turned this bowl from came from her woods. It has an interesting natural edge.

The wood for this osage orange bowl came from Florida. No, I wasn' t there, my neighbor gave me the wood.

This interesting piece is from a maple burl that I got in Wisconsin.

This basswood bowl didn't have a lot of interesting figure, so I gave it a thicker, rounded lip at the top.This one was turned in February of 2007
