I've been turning since November of 1999 when I inherited an old Grizzly brand wood lathe. I struggled with
learning to turn until September of 2001, when the Minn-Dak Woodturners Association was founded. I attended the first meeting, and immediately became a member and club officer. My skills have
improved dramatically since that date! In May of 2005, I took a weekend class with local woodturner Phil Holtan. The class was a lot of fun, and I picked up some neat tips and tricks.
