The December meeting was brought to order by club president Ryan Hoss.  Meryl Valness was our member demonstrator.  A while back, Meryl's daughter asked him to make some centerpieces for her wedding table, and this is the idea that came to life. 

After preparing the workpiece, and turning the outside of the shallow bowl, the hollowing begins.  Here's an action shot of the hollowing.  The walls are brought down to near final thickness.  The bottom of the bowl is then turned so a candle glass can be attached with CA glue.  Here is the completed bowl.
