The September 2009 meeting was brought to order by Ryan Hoss. General financials and business were discussed. (see this meeting's minutes here). Paul Hedman is our featured demonstrator this month, he will demonstrate turning a
simple bowl. After rough turning the shape between centers, a tenon is turned that will be accepted into the chuck. Once held in a chuck, the outside is shaped, and hollowing of the bowl interior can begin. When the interior of the bowl is complete, Paul reverses the bowl so he can turn the foot. |
