Phil Holtan started out the meeting by discussing a new Habitat for Humanity store here in Fargo.  They are looking for volunteers to man the store during business hours.  Click here for more details.

Gothard Knutson (Knute) talked about turning candle holders for church projects.

Ron Williams introduced our speaker for the month, Will Shynkaruk.  Will is an art instructor at Minnesota State University Moorhead.  Will discussed many of the reasons why a particular shape is pleasing to the eye.  He had many thoughts and reasons into what makes good form.  Here is another example of one of the shapes he likes.

• Dale also tried his hand at turning eggs.  Unfortunately, he had an accident, and this is what he ended up with...  Everyone loves a comedian!

• Here is a bowl from the same tree.  It's interesting how much difference you can find in the wood from the same tree.
