The January meeting started out with a discussion for Toolmaking day on Saturday February 5th, 2005. Orders were collected from members.

Ron Williams demonstrated the use of the trapped hollowing system that we will be making.  Here's a closeup of the system in action.  Ron then talked about some of the other tools that we will be making. 

Phil Holtan demonstrated the beading and parting tools that will be made.  Here he is roughing in a cylinder.

Jim McTavish gave a quick demonstration on the sharpening jig.
