Hollow Vessel Turning

Phil Holtan demonstrated hollow vessel turning at our April 11, 2002 meeting.

 

Here Phil is starting to rough the outside of the vessel.  A chunk was bandsawn off of the side of the blank to show the inside as the piece was being cut.

Using a forstner bit to start the hollowing process. 
The forstner bit is nearly to its depth.
